CRIMSON
(2018)

At a remote highway, three women stop after a mysterious crash. When the victim disappears, their fears and an unknown threat cause them to lose grip on reality. Reality and fiction blur—who hit whom? What secrets do they hide? What’s in the trash bag in the trunk?
Crimson is a theatre piece about facing demons, denial, guilt, and conscience, set against a sinful crime in summer 1969. It explores dark desires and the destructive nature of group behavior.
Created for Izak’s graduation at Maastricht Theatre Academy, Crimson was inspired by interviews with Leslie van Houten, Susan ‘Sadie’ Atkins, and Linda Kasabian - the ‘Manson girls’.
