HOMECOMING
(2018)

In the suburb of a nameless metropolis, a young woman drags her brother into a gruesome plan to avenge their father’s murder. Homecoming is a short North American family tragedy, loosely adapted from Eugene O’Neill’s Mourning Becomes Electra. The performance explores themes such as blood vengeance, injustice, self-destructive behavior, and an obsessive need to be right.
Homecoming was created as part of Izak’s studies at the Maastricht Theatre Academy. The focus of the assignment was on staging a theatrical text.
